Clay Awhile is delighted to have Stephanie Beiser present her Raku workshop. Her immersive 4 hour workshop includes 5lbs raku clay (provided before the workshop), a demo, assisted glazing session, 3 firings, tips, tricks, and more.
Stephanie Beiser received her BFA in ceramics from Bowling Green State University and is currently the Fine Arts Studio coordinator for the College of Art and Design at University of Dayton.
She also teaches ceramics classes at UD and Cornell Studio Supply. She creates pottery using the Japanese firing technique known as Raku.
Her forms and glazing designs are inspired by both Japanese and African pottery and architecture.
can be found at the Dayton Art Institute gift shop, and will also be available for purchase during our workshop.
