THE PROCESS 

Drying (3-5 weeks) - Clay must dry slowly, especially thicker pieces, so they don’t crack or become damaged during firing.

 
First firing (bisque firing) - each kiln firing takes about 36 hours. We currently fire our kiln each Tuesday.

Glazing - your instructor carefully glazes your work.    

Final firing (glaze firing) - your pieces are fired again to become durable, functional, and finished.

PICKUP

 At the end of your class you can submit pictures of your work along with your contact information. When your items are ready for pick up you will receive a notification, along with pick up times and followup reminders over the next few weeks. Items that have not been picked up within 45 days may be donated to a future UFO sale (out of this world unclaimed fired objects).
